Child Visas
Child visas are for a dependent, adopted, or orphaned child of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. The child parent's (or their parent's partner) must be the sponsor, and they can apply on behalf of the child. There are three permanent visas and one temporary visa option under this category.

802 Visa - Child Visa (Onshore)
802 visa is a permanent visa for a dependent child of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. 802 visa is for a child who is currently onshore and can only be applied while in Australia. The visa will also apply to an onshore adopted child if their adoptive parents became an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen before they are adopted.

101 Visa - Child Visa (Offshore)
101 visa is a permanent visa for a dependent child of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen. The child must be outside Australia when the application is submitted. The visa also applies to an adopted child if their adoptive parents became an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen before they are adopted.

102 Visa - Child Adoption Visa (Offshore)
102 Visa - Child adoption visa allows offshore adopted children or in the process of being adopted by an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia. An adoptive parent usually lodges the application on the child’s behalf and is responsible to take the sponsorship. This is a permanent visa, if the adoption is through a state or territory adoption authority, the application can be lodged before the adoption is finalised.

837 Visa - Orphan Relative Visa (Onshore)
837 Visa also known as the Orphan Relative Visa (Onshore) allows those children who are single and have lost their parents or have no one to take care of them, to come to Australia and live with their relatives. Successful applicants will be entitled to live in Australia permanently and will be able to work and study in Australia. The orphan should be financed by a qualified relative who is either residing in the country or is a permanent member of the country.

445 Visa - Dependent Child Visa (Temporary)
445 visa - Dependent Child visa, enables the child of a parent who is holding a temporary Partner visa to join them in Australia. This Visa allows the child that is holding a Dependent Child Visa to enter and remain in the country while the application of the Partner Visa is considered. This Visa allows Child below 18 years old to add as a Dependent of the Parents.
