Responsibilities:
To provide high level of professional immigration advice and assistant to clients and to prepare and lodge high standard, technically sound submissions to DIBP, and to actively promote THINK VISA’ services.
Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Richard Tan
Working with Solicitors and RMAs
Liaising with Clients
Liaising with Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Skills Assessing Authorities, State Governments, Business Planner, Accountants, Translators
Main Duties:
Work under the supervision and comply with directions given by THINK VISA supervisors to ensure the provision of high quality immigration advice
Conduct client interviews (if requested)
Take client instructions
Provide professional advice to clients in all forms
Assist and advise in relation to visa criteria and legal requirements
Assist to complete visa applications to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection;
Assist and advise about lodgement of visa or review applications
Ensure that detailed file notes are taken of the issues presented by clients and the advice given
Preparation of statements/letters/submissions providing further information for consideration in migration matters
Preparation and lodgement of Skills Assessment, State Sponsorship, Visa application
Update knowledge of legislative requirements and policy
Understand, interpret and apply relevant legislation to case scenarios
Undertake ongoing casework from other team member as required
Assist with company marketing campaigns and participate in the events and seminars
Work on other business-related projects as required
Accountabilities:
Accountable for client relationship including client satisfaction and loyalty
Accountable for implementation of client instructions
Accountable for collecting documents, preparing client’s application and adhering to THINK VISA strict benchmark preparation timeline
Accountable for checking and submitting application before client’s visa expiry date or any other deadlines
Accountable for keeping excellent file note and documenting all correspondence with clients, DIBP and other authorities
Proactively follow up with clients
Ensure quick client response rate
Accountable for effectively managing workloads by prioritising important and urgent tasks
Accountable for keeping a continuous productivity record and submit report to the processing team leader for review on a fortnightly basis
Accountable for meeting processing monthly target and achieve maximum productivity result
Follow THINK VISA policies and procedures for file management, client management and processing team operations
Identify opportunities for more effective and efficient client services and processing team operations
Meeting THINK VISA commitments to servicing clients
Growing and renewing THINK VISA’ business
Support collaborative work across the business
Qualification/s Required
Bachelor of Law or Graduate Certificate in Immigration Law and Practice
Holding a current legal practising certificate with Victorian Legal Services Board OR Registered with OMARA
Employment Experience
At least 3 years' post qualification experience in the immigration advice profession is essential
Strong knowledge in Australian immigration laws, regulations, policies and visa system
Skills Required
Admission as a Lawyer and/or a Registered Migration Agent
Articulate with superior written and oral communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Highly organized and able to meet deadlines and manage high volumes of work in a business environment
Being a team player is essential as it is imperative that our team works cohesively and efficiently whilst being flexible and supportive
Integrate easily and work cooperatively in a busy but fun, social and welcoming team environment.
Experience with LEAP Migration Database preferred
Experience in other areas of law such as conveyancing, family law, commercial law, wills and estates - desirable though not essential
A keen interest to further developing technical skills in the field of migration law and policy

The perfect candidate must be highly dedicated, honest, can work under pressure to meet deadlines, and be able to make smart decisions adequately.
Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software.
Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress.
