Specialist Skills Pathway: Targeting high-earning professionals with salaries exceeding $135,000, this pathway promises expedited processing within seven days. Almost all occupations will be eligible, with an annual cap of 3,000 places.
Core Skills Pathway: Designed for individuals earning between $70,000 and $135,000, this stream will focus on occupations listed on the new Core Skills Occupation List. Processing is aimed to be completed within 21 days, encompassing trade workers and similar professions.
Essential Skills Pathway: Tailored for aged- and disability-care workers earning under $70,000, this pathway emphasizes a 21-day processing timeframe to meet critical workforce demands.
Permanent Residency Pathway
Department of Home Affairs has officially declared the pathway for all Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa holders, subclass 482, to attain permanent residency through the Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) visa, specifically through the Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) stream.
This signifies that irrespective of whether TSS visa holders are sponsored in occupations listed on the Short-term (STSOL), Long-term (MLTSSL), or Regional Occupation List (ROL), they will have an accessible route to obtain permanent residency.
