Student Visa Program

Types of Student Visas

Student Visa
Subclass 500

The Student Visa (Subclass 500) allows international students to live and study in Australia for the duration of their registered course. This visa is suitable for students enrolled in full-time studies at a registered Australian institution, including higher education, vocational training, school, and English language programs.

Temporary Graduate Visa
Subclass 485

The Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) allows recent international graduates of Australian institutions to live, work, and study in Australia temporarily after completing their studies. The visa has two streams.

Student Guardian Visa
Subclass 590

The Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590) allows a parent, custodian, or relative of an international student under 18 (or older if exceptional circumstances apply) to stay in Australia as the student’s guardian. This visa enables the guardian to provide support and care to the student for the duration of their study or until they turn 18. Guardians on this visa cannot work and have limited study rights (up to three months).
