MAIN REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for the Subclass 407 Training Visa, you must meet the following requirements:

Sponsorship
You must be sponsored by an approved Australian organization that has been approved as a Temporary Activities Sponsor.

Nominated Training Position
You must be nominated for a structured training program in a specific occupation or professional field. There are 3 occupational training covered by the 407 visa:
- Occupational training required for registration
- Occupational training to improve skills in an eligible occupation
- Occupational training for capacity building overseas.

Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)
You must demonstrate that you genuinely intend to stay temporarily in Australia to complete the training program.

English Language Proficiency
You need to meet the English language requirements unless exempt.

Health and Character Requirements
You must pass health checks and provide character certificates (e.g., police clearance).

Adequate Financial Support
You must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family (if applicable) during your stay in Australia.

If you are currently in Australia holding a valid visa, you must not hold any of the following substantive visas:

Steps to apply for the Subclass 407 Visa

Find a Sponsor

You must be nominated by an approved sponsor who is an Australian organization with a structured training program for you to participate in.
