VETASSESS is now accepting applicants who wish to fast-track their skills assessment.

Highlights

As globalization is at its peak, skilled migration has been the first option for individuals looking for new opportunities and career growth. Skills assessment is one of the most significant steps of this process, which validates the qualifications and suitability of an applicant for a specific job. Australia's Vocational Education and Training Assessment Services (VETASSESS) is now offering Priority Processing Services to specific professional occupations and to those applicants who will provide proof of urgent need.

What is Priority Processing Service

From the phrase itself, Priority Processing Service aims to ensure that applicants with urgent needs receive priority allocation of assessment places. The approximate time of regular skills assessment will take between 12-20 weeks (approximately 3-6 months) to complete. However, an applicant who is granted priority assessment will have a completion date of 10 business days. Through this, applicants who worked for both professional and general occupations can advance faster toward their migration goals.

Who are eligible for Priority Processing Service?

Last 31 July 2023, VETASSESS implemented the new changes to the Priority Processing Service. An eligible applicant must land on at least one of these circumstances to get priority allocation on their skills assessment.

  • Invitation Expiry: If you have received an invitation from the Department of Home Affairs or an Australian state or territory government, and it has an expiry date, you may be eligible for priority processing.

  • Visa Expiry: If your current visa is set to expire within eight weeks, and you are unable to obtain another visa, you can apply for priority processing.

  • Age Milestones: If you are turning 33, 40, or 45 within eight weeks, you may qualify for priority allocation to expedite your skills assessment.

  • English Test Result Expiry: If your English test result (IELTS or PTE) is set to expire within eight weeks, you can apply for priority processing to avoid any delays in your application.

  • Partner Skills Assessment or English Test Expiry: If your partner's skills assessment or English test result is set to expire within eight weeks, you may be eligible for priority allocation.

How to apply for this service?

Due to the substantial demand for Priority Processing, applicants providing evidence of urgent needs are given preference in the allocation of available places. Individuals who meet the specified criteria and have an urgent need can apply for priority processing through the VETASSESS website. It is crucial to submit the necessary supporting documents and evidence to validate the urgency of your situation. Please contact Think Visa to assist you to apply for Priority Processing with VETASSESS if you believe you can meet the criteria above.
