Common mistakes when applying for partner visas
Not providing the right documents
Hiding information
Information on application and related forms needs to be consistent with the provided supporting evidence or it may result in a refusal.
Invitations are given out based on points claimed. Lodging the EOI incorrectly can result in a refusal even if an invitation was issued.
Inconsistent information
Incorrectly lodged EOI
The misconception is thinking that the application is all about filling up forms and providing basic documents. Proper understanding of your relationship and experience can greatly increase your chance at a successful outcome.
Some occupations have caveats and additional requirements that need to be met in order to be eligible. Understanding what they are beforehand will ensure a successful application.
Not using a migration professional
Lack of knowledge on eligibility
Hiding any past convictions, forging work documents or education qualifications will not only reduce your chances at permanent residency but also risk future applications.
Providing documentation to support the claims in the EOI is a crucial part of the application. The points claimed has to be supported by verifiable evidence.
