About Subclass 891  

An Investor Visa or Subclass 891 is for people who want to continue their business or investment ventures in Australia for good. To qualify for this visa, an applicant must have resided in the country for at least 2 years and must hold a 162 visa.  

Am I Eligible?  

• You must hold a subclass 162 visa – Investor (Provisional) Visa. 
• You have stayed in the country with a valid 162 visa for at least 2 years. It doesn’t have to be a continuous stay. If you’ve travelled outside the country and re-entered, exclude the days you’re not in Australia. 
• You (and your partner together) have a designated investment of A$1.5 Million for at least 4 years, meeting the requirement for a subclass 162 Visa. 
• You have a strong intention to continue your business/investment ventures in Australia
